Home remodeling and decorating is booming, and several shows and markets are planned for the next few months.
Here’s a lineup that includes the Junk Hippy market, the big home show at NRG and suburban events organized by Texwood Shows. (Full disclosure: I’ll be one of many speakers at each of the Texwood Shows.)
Junk Hippy
Vintage and handmade goods will be for sale at the Junk Hippy market 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 22 inside Campbell Hall at the Pasadena Convention Center, 7601 Red Bluff, Pasadena. Admission is $5 at the door; children 13 and younger get in free. Future shows are planned for Feb. 26 and July 16 in Rosenberg as well as July 30 in Pasadena. Information: junkhippy.com
Houston Home + Garden Show
TV personalities Chet Garner of PBS’s “The Day Tripper” and Ty Pennington former host of “Trading Spaces” and other home makeover shows will be among the speakers at the Houston Home + Garden Show, noon-8 p.m. Feb. 4, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 5 and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 6 at NRG Center. Lake Houston Home and Outdoor Living Show
Certfied professional organizer Ellen Delap, interior designer Mary Scalli and radio show hosts Randy Lemmon and Tom Tynan are in the lineup for the Lake Houston Home & Outdoor Living Show 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb. 19 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Humble Civic Center Arena Complex, 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble.
